Scenes from the South of France Series

The artist's interest in Provence and the Code d'Azur dates to the 1970's when he lived and studied in Aix en Provence.  In the 1980-90-s he lived in a villa with his family on the Mediterranean near St. Tropez in the summers.  Much of his work in this series was painted on location.
